Ms Emily Gakiza is a legal practitioner as well as a Risk and Governance professional with over 24 years of experience. She holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from The University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania; a Post Graduate Diploma from the Law Development Centre, Kampala and an MBA from The University of Leicester. She is an accredited IFC/ICSA Governance trainer and facilitates training with the ICSA Uganda Chapter.
Ms. Gakiza comes on board with wide-ranging experience in the financial services sector and has advised on various matters from financing, conveyancing, outsourcing, corporate real estate, and employment. She has also been at the forefront of the implementation of regulatory compliance related to the financial services and mobile money sector, anti-money laundering and sanctions advisory.
